Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!
Things have been nice in our neck of the woods. Beautiful weather today. Going out to play on the beach in just a bit. Might top out around 70 degrees or so here.
Training wise things have been going very good. Lifting for the past two months and feeling very strong. Working on the track for the past month and it is still a ridiculously hard workout but every time out there I am feeling stronger and stronger. No ball work with Phil yet as he has been in Florida for the past several weeks. I expect we will start up in the next week or two though.
Off to watch some bowl games.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE ON THE BLOG !!!! Looking forward to the beach action in 2008. I really reconnected with the sport in 2007 and want to keep that rolling in the new year. For Christmas I got my wife and 2 daughters top notch seats to the Hannah Montana concert on Dec 22nd here in Massachusetts for $500. In return I got the $80 iPod Shuffle. Celtics kicked some Laker butt last night and look unstoppable at this point. I dont think the Patriots will go 19-0...too old on the defense but they seem to get every call and bounce. I have 6 packs ready for 3 Stooges Marathon which is a NY Eve tradition here in Boston area along with eating Chinese Food. Best of luck to everyone in 2008!!!!!
Happy New Year to all on the Blog. I hope to meet some of you at the tournaments.
Todd - thanks again for the blog and the inside look into your life as a top pro beach player. With another AVP season, FIVB stops, and the Olympics there's no better time to be a beach VB fan.
Much success, prosperity and love to all of you in '08!
Drew
Happy New Year To All
Spent a great 10 days in South Florida (80 degrees and sunny) so am catching up on all the blog talk. My brother's family and I played a fun New Year's Eve BVB match (we lost in extra play) and enjoyed some sparkling apple cider to ring in 2008.
Looking forward to what the new brings to the sport of BVB. The FIVB has a full 2008 schedule, still waitng for the AVP line-up.
Todd thanks for all the BVB insights in 2007 and I hope you'll continue to share in 2008.
Jeff
Todd, Thanks for posting once again. Just saw the trailer for the Green Flash movie with you and Phil jogging along the beach.

How is everyone? Todd must be working out in the gym like Rocky before he went up against Drago. Umass beat the #14 team in the country Dayton Flyers in Ohio tonight...HUGE WIN for the Minutemen. As for the AFC Championship game the local weather hottie on Ch 7 says at kickoff the temperature will be 9 degrees and by the 4th quarter at 6 degrees. You can watch people freeze half to death in HDTV on the west coast. Not sure what the Lambeau forecast is but should be fun to watch. I used to have Patriots season tickets and suffered through some MISERABLE weather so I dont mind watching others suffer now. I remember being at tailgate parties where my jaw was frozen shut and I couldnt eat the food off the grille. Had to start car and turn on heat so my mouth could open. That was 20 years ago when I could drink plenty of anti freeze (although alcohol actually lowers your body temp). Some of the AVP stars where wearing hoodies in June at the tournament here...that was nothing. Enjoy the weekend and let us know when the AVP has the schedule set....Scott from Cape Cod
Scott- New England on its way to 19-0? It would look that way. Have been in the gym a lot crushing my body. At the trach too. Feel really good at the track which is usually not the case. Solid in the weightroom but I think I am at that point in life where I am not going to go up. The only thing that really went up a lot was the ole bench press. Squats and pulls went up only slightly.
Drew- Your welcome and I hope SB is treating you well.
Jeff- Hearing you on the vacation warmth as you probably saw in my last blog. Meeting today about the AVP schedule. If I could post it I would.
Steve- Just watched that trailer too. I hope it is a good movie for volleys sake as well as for Paul Nihipali.
Take care all.
Todd
