Brazil was pretty darn nice. I had a good time, the americans won all our games, and the weather was nice. All of our flights went according to plan. Don't have any complaints frankly.
Now I get to go to the frigid midwest. From 70 degrees as the low temperature in Sao Paolo to maybe 40 degrees at best as the high temperature in Kansas City. Little bit of an extreme weather shift but it will be fun I am sure. I am looking forward to seeing folks in Grand Rapids, Kansas City and Indy.

Kind of surprised that these matches(exhibition?) weren't mentioned on the AVP site either. They haven't updated anything in a while and I haven't been able to get Glendale to work on my browser. Anyone else have the same problem?
Congrats on the win. Hopefully World Championship Sports will show all the matches like they do the FIVB matches.
I'm guessing for the 4 on 4 match, the net was set to 8 feet?
Have fun with the HWN. I might be at Uniondale but saw you weren't going to be there. Catch you in the NYC/NJ area in the summer hopefully.

todd, while you were enjoying the warm days in brazil, it was a blistering 4 degrees in birmingham alabama...I would have loved to see the 4x4; i am sure the brazilians were going crazy. knowing that holly is coming back, kerri/rachael out for the year, misty out at least half the season, and dax retired, what is the scoop on new teams/teammates for the 09 avp season...good luck to you this weekend...alan beverly
Garret- I heard the AVP site was being redone and that is why nothing is on them. The net was 8 feet with the guys hitting and blocking. In Michigan right now and it is cold. Should still be fun though.
Alan- The fans are always crazy there in Brazil. New teams: Nick/Brad, Sean Scott/Hyden, Angie/Tyra. Not sure after that.
Todd
A little surprising about Nick and Hyden switching partners considering Nick and Sean beat just about everyone on a consistent basis except you and Phil.
Stay warm!!
