Gage is a pretty cool dog. His one major foible is that he likes to chew on anything. Not a barker or a digger, at least so far, but he will chew on anything including cords, couches, shoes, plants and of course all of his toys. But in general he is learning NO! and has been doing well in regards to potty training. He is only 8 weeks old but is a fairly good sized little guy. And he just crawled out the doggy door for the first time. Nice!
Big weekend for the family. Nate is in semis for peewee football and Hannah has soccer tourney. Nate's football team is technically undefeated but they did lose a game. It's just that that team had to forfeit all of their games due to inelegible player or something like that. Hannah's team is also undefeated with one tie. Should be fun.

Todd-
The Net Live podcast is having a guy from IMG on the latest show to discuss the USVB Beach tour. Sounds like 4 to 6 tournaments. Not sure if you and Phil will be toeing the line for these matches but sounds interesting. I will comment after listen to Barnett interview this guy.
Good luck with the dog. My kids got a fish and I ended up doing all of the maintenance until it went belly up. No more pets for me. Is this dog jogging with you like your last hound? Scott
First of all Happy Turkey Day to all who participate on this blog. Love talking and reading about Beach VB.
I heard the interview with the guy James Leets (?) from IMG on The Net Live Podcast. He is the main guy for the up to 6 stop tour that USA Volleyball is going to do in 2011. It sounds like the tour will have $150 large per tournament payout and a bonus pool. Barnett on the podcast asked a few questions and it seems like the nut the tour has to cover for expenses is just south of $10 million. The IMG idea is they promote this with the 2012 games coming up but then the real payoff will be the 2016 Olympics in Brazil where beach volleyball is HUGE. If the USAV can produce stars that people will follow thru 2016 then they have a hook. It sounded like the stops will be in the usual hot spots...Belmar, Texas, Florida and So Cal. The guy from IMG is really knowledgeable and came across as having a very good plan. Now will the top players be playing on this tour...the question never came up. Leets did say that Nivea was bull**** when the AVP pulled the plug. But the company that got them to be and AVP sponsor is now trying to get them to buy into this new tour. Maybe a beer company will step up like the old days too. Reid Priddy was on after the IMG guy and said he is much more confident the sport will survive after hearing that interview.
Barnett also had an old timer named Mike Ohara on the podcast. He said the AVP model of dragging a stadium around the country was flawed. This guy knew his stuff and has even written a book about it.
Just download the podcast and listen...good stuff. And get stuffed...on Thursday. I hope the Patriots wear the old Pat Patriot uniforms for the nation on Thursday. Scott
