Miami

Off to the first AVP event of 2008 in Miami in a couple of days. Playing on South Beach instead of in a parking lot which is always a bonus. Hopefully the weather will be good and their will be good crowds.

I believe that Phil and I will be the first seed and Jake and Rosy will be the second seed. After that it gets to confusing for me to follow. I do not believe that Stein and Lambo are playing due to some tenderness in Lambo's knee still. That would leave either John and Brad or Matt and Casey as your third and 4th seeds. The next several seeds I have no idea about. I know they will be Sean and Nick, Anthony and Fred, Mark and Aaron and maybe Dax and Billy. Not sure if they will be in the top 8 but it will be close.

Hopefully we can repeat as champions but every year it seems to get tougher and tougher.

Exciting times. Good luck, good travels, and good health.

If time allows check out the Delano for sushi.

What's up with AVP tv? I was hoping we'd be able to see your early round matches. Seeing the scoring updates on avp.com is not the same. Two years in a row for you and Phil in Miami.

What Up Todd,

Buena Suerte this week. I am not a big fan of Miami (been there numerous times for business). Just not my style. Give me Hermosa.

Last weekend I went down to Newport. I drove thru Huntington on PCH. Wow! Huntington is becoming a huge resort town. Lot's of new construction going on.

Please let the AVP website design team know that they have done a piss poor job with the new site. Just one man's opinion.

Well done. Must have been a little strange in the finals with old partners playing against each other.

Sorry to hear you will be missing Charleston.

Todd,

Congrats on your win. I feel like a AVP refugee without being able to watch the games online. Is the AVP in big financial trouble? I thought Mosaic and live feeds for the finals was the best thing Armato had done with the AVP.

I hope you are willing to provide a little more info about the tourneys because without the live feeds, I'm lost.

Peace,

Dave in San Diego

PS I notice that the Boulder event site is listed as "Folsom Field". Are they actually gonna truck in sand for the football field? Crazy.

Hi Todd, I was there and saw a lot of your games. In the semifinal you looked so week, unispired and played really sloppy.

Then in the final you looked like a different team. So fired up, seemd to have fun, and played like the world champs you are. Was really impressed by that game. Phil bombing great jump surves and you dug ball after ball. Really cool.

Big congrats to your win!
Take care
/Peter

Todd,

Congrats on the win in Miami. A great way to start your march to Gold in China.

Was the Miami crowd pro Phil or pro Nick? How crazy was it during the final?

Glad to see the AVP website is back to normal.

See you in Huntington.

Congrats to Todd and Phil. Hopefully we arent going to hear any horror stories from Todds travel log and everything went smoothly. I was one of the people who said I would never sign up for the internet AVP TV hoping it would become a free service. Here in Boston they tried to charge to read certain columnists articles on line. After about 6 months they came back for free as that idea failed miserably. Maybe Fox Sports wanted exclusive coverage so the Internet TV had to be dropped? I dont know but I will watch the listings for the Fox Sports Net. Do any of you humanoids out in California listen to Dave Dameshek on 710AM ESPN? I sent him an email to have Todd on as a guest. Hopefully he makes the connection and I will hear Todd on the podcast. Have a great week everyone!!! Scott from Cape Cod
