AVP Awards

Not to bad on the predictions. Was correct on the Women's side with the exception that I favored EY over Nicole. Not bad on the men's side too. For those of you that have not seen who won what:

Men:
MVP - Phil
Best O - Phil
Best Blocker - Phil
Best D - Hyden
Most Improved - John Mayer
ROY - Jonathon Acosta

Women:
MVP - Nicole
Best O - Nicole
Best Blocker - Lisa Rutledge
Best D - Brooke Hanson
Most Improved - Lisa Rutledge
ROY - Rachel ? - Can't remember her last name. From Brazil

TODD

WHY ARE YOU PLAYING WITH MATTY AT THE FIVB EVENT?

Nick said...

Hey todd,

What's up with Phil playing with Lucena and you with Olson.
Is this a preview of what it's gonna be next year?
Somehow, I always thought Phil would pick Rosie...
Looking forward to seeing what will happen...

Todd,

If I had to venture a guess I would say that you are registered with Matty but wont actually be playing and nor will Phil, you are helping them out with your FIVB points for entry then will remove yourselves from entry and they will be allowed to form new teams which I believe is allowed once under FIVB regulations, just a guess.

Its a BIG mistake if Phil drops you for Lucena. If that happens AVP domination will come to an end.
Could be good for the sport actually.
Prediction - Phil will drop in the ranks if he plays with Lucena. Lucena will then get pissed and jump some fans in the stands.

Margo- I guess so but I have to say I had a lot to work with.

Nick- Phil and I dropped out.

TJ- You are correct.

Margo,
WOW sorry to hear that man.
Makes you realize how important life is dude. Precious times, remember them all!
Sorry for your loss.
Stay strong I am sure he would have wanted you to. You will probably end up playing better with his strenth and eyes on you.

I feel your sorrow, young lady. Do you feel, though, that having had that special time and then losing it is much better than to not have had the time at all? You would not be feeling pain right now, but then maybe you would not be feeling anything. That would be a true sorrow. Our societal focus seems to revolve around spousal relationships and we forget how much joy all our many different relationships can bring us. Thank you for the inadvertent reminder.

We have enjoyed your posts here on the Blog as they have reminded us of the unencumbered joy of youth. My thought for you is that you remain, in your heart, as you are now, trusting of the people and the world in which you live. I salute your grandfather and the family that raised you.

Now, go get ‘em this weekend and leave your concerns behind. This is the time in life when it’s all about you! Enjoy it while you can.
