Wow.. looks like a day without rain. Best luck to you and Phil! I'm in Switzerland right now but my colleagues prefer to go to the Simpsons Movie instead of driving down to GStaad on thursday. I apologize for that :-)

Todd, good luck to you in your next match...obviously things get tougher along the way...I think that i read in an earlier blog that you will NOT be in Chicago...is that true, and are you guys just taking time off or do you have another FIVB event to attend?? Looking forward to seeing you in Manhattan Beach..Alan Beverly/Birmingham,Al.

Todd-
You mentioned the guys from Georgia (the country not the state) are transplanted Brazilians. I notice their last names are listed as Geor and Gia. What is up with that? Did they pull this "stunt" to assura and Olympic spot? Could myself and another player move to Sri Lanka and become their top team and change our last names to United and States? Seems like a loophole. Congrats on running the table in pool play. Keep it rolling. Yankees have cut a 14 1/2 game lead to 6 1/2 behind Red Sox...there is panic in the streets here. Didn't Scott and Kevin Wong try to play so they could represent China or was that just a rumor??
So far so good in pool play for the Americans! Good luck in the single elimination.

Steffen- Hope the Simpsons Movie was all it was cracked up to be.

Alan- Will not be in Chicago but will be in MB. Playing in Austria that weekend. Will touch base on that from Austria.

Scott/Garret- I think the Wong's looked into playing for China but was not worth it for them to do it. The guys from Georgia are Brasilian and yes they are doing it to get into the Olympics. Believe it or not, there are a couple of countries out there that look to do exactly what Georgia is doing. It is a loophole. Geor and Gia is a play on words. Although Geor's real name is George.
