Todd, What are you thoughts on Matt Olson getting his first AVP tour win? I also hope that your families, friends, and homes are in no danger from the "GAP" fire (as they are calling it). Same goes for Phil. Looks pretty bad. The sundowner winds don't help either.

I think the gap fire is west side of los Padres, just hope it doesn't cross the 101

Congrats to you and Phil on your 3rd in a row on the FIVB! Looked like the exact opposite of the weather they're having in Boulder. Must have been cold if you grew the beach. Team China played really, really well esp. in the first game. Seemed like you just needed to warm up a little bit.
Have a relaxing flight back to the good ol' US of A.

Sweet! What A Team! 3 Gold's in a Row! Well done Todd and Phil. USA! We are # 1! We are #1! We Are #1!

The car for a player box seat was very funny.

How about another first on the AVP tour, Mark Williams getting his first win in Boulder yesterday.

Welcome back to the USA. Way to represent. Looking forward to seeing you in Long Beach. Have a safe trip home or I hope you did.

Way to go! Three in a row at that international level of competition is beyond impressive. Congratulations to you two. You've been playing at such a consistently high level for a long time now.

Would you say you and Phil are playing your best ball as a team right now? How about you individually. Do you feel like you've ever played better than you are right now?

I'll look forward to seeing you soon in Long Beach.

Cheers,

Drew from Carp

Safe travels and good health to both

Here is what I understand: You guys have wrapped at least the second seed for Beijing. Emanuel and Ricardo's lowest score is 600 and that's all they can earn for winning in Marseille. Now it is up to the Russian or German pair behind the Chinese to catch them and put them back to 7th, so that you can wrap the #1 seed.

Thanks to all.

Stoked for Olsen and Mark Williams. Both are great players that will be around for years to come if they so desire. Both are good guys too so added bonus. Phil and I are number 1 unless China retains a top 6 seed and then we will be 2. Thats the way it is. We are playing with a lot of confidence more than anything else. We are playing well but tired as of now. Don't know if I am playing my best ball but certainly my most consistant ball.

Just watched the replay and saw Wu's amazing "KICK SAVE & IT'S A BEAUTY" dig in the first game. Phil looked like he was just scratching his head after that point. Meant to say beard in my first post regarding how cold it must have been in Moscow and that's why you grew it out or did you just forget your razor?

don't know if it helps or hurts but your 2008 season is half over with thirteen tournsys down and thirteen to go.

Alan- Will touch base on Olympics closer to that time.

Garret- After I shave at the end of Berlin I just didn't shave at all until I left Russia. No real reason other than to just do it.

At the season tipping point of 50% and the majority of travel is now done. That is the huge part.
