Lot O Dough on the Line

Lots of cash on the line this weekend in MB. Hopefully Phil and I will have enough left in the tank to truck all the way through Sunday. Pretty sure we will both be fired up. It's MB after all. Then again, everyone is going to be fired up to win the moolah and the title.

I expect it will be a zoo as always down there. Particularly with the cash prize, MB, and of course this is the last regular tourney of the year. I would think everyone would want to get out to get their last fix of beach volleyball before the season comes to a close. Where better to do that than at the granddaddy. See you all down there.

Best of luck to you and Phil. Again, winning Manhattan would be the capper to an already awesome season.
Hope you guys continue to play loosy goosy and have fun.

Todd-
Yes go for the money grab this weekend. The stock market is back up so you will have some capital to invest...assuming the guy writing the checks didnt have the prize money at Lehman Brothers. I actually have a degree in Finance from Umass so I should move to Cali and become a Financial Adviser for the AVP tour. I read so many stories about celebs and athletes who get swindled by by advisors. Bring home the loot!!!! Scott from Cape Cod

more like lotto-dough todd...good luch to you and phil this weekend...and will you do me a big favor, when you and phil and misty and kerri win all the dough this weekend, would you please go give EY a c-note for me and tell her if she would or could win like 100 or more matches in a row, and go unbeaten for a year, she could stop crying and whining about not receiving the respect she thinks she is due....i believe that respect is earned, and sir you have earned yours...alan beverly/birmingham alabama

Nifty, Also looks like avp.com has a free live internet radio broadcast along with
archives as well. See if I can get it to stream on my computer. Connects right now
but of course no stream yet. Would be great to get live streams of the events. Missed Fridays broadcast was just checking on the page for what happened and found I could have known in real time. DHO! looks like you Phill are doing
great.

CONGRATS..At this point I think Todd and Phil have more money than Fortune 500 companies Lehman Brothers and AIG. They have enough money to go to Las Vegas and "make it rain" like Pacman Jones....WHAT A SEASON!!!!

Todd,

Wow! What a dream year you've had! It's seriously awesome what you and Phil have accomplished. Truly, very few athletes have done what you guys have done in any sport. Please put me on the pre-sell list for whatever follow-on 'Success Principles' book and/or seminar you end up coming out with. :-)

Cheers,

Drew

Todd,
Congrats to you and Phil on winning the grand daddy of dem all! What a year for you guys. Wondering if besides winning the gold in Beijing whether the rest of the season exceeded or met your expectations. Also saw that Ak/Fro played in the qualifiers and made it into the main draw. Must have been nice to see them back on the beach. Only one more event. I'm sure you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Congrats again.

Garret- Thanks. It was cool to see Ack/Fro back in it. They still have the passing and setting skills. Make a lot of the new guys look uncoordinated when passing or setting.

Scott- Made the money grab. No Vegas for this kid though.

Alan- Nice nick name. Don't think I would bring that up with EY. I like EY. She is rough and a major competitor on the court but great off the court.

Daniel- I heard the radio stuff is great. I hope so. Good idea.

RHO- Glad to bring new fans into the sport.

Jeff- Probably won't be me spending it. J/K

E- Just being home will be a vacation in and of itself.

Drew- There is some stuff in the works. Albeit it is quite young if you will.

Todd,

If you need a San Diego promoter for your "Gold Medal/Success Principles" Tour, I'm your man. I've even written a new limerick to aid in your marketing efforts:

"The Professor" is his nickname
He won gold and now has found fame
He has wisdom to share
And, yes, you should care
'Cuz he'll help you succeed in your game

:P

Todd,

I may just write that book. Here's a title that would make it a best-seller:

Silly Limerick's by Dave
ENDORSED BY TODD ROGERS, 2008 OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST AND MANHANTTAN BEACH CHAMPION.
